Wedding Stories...
I don't shoot weddings the way most photographers do.
Many/ most pro's consider each persons special day to be
a "quick buck". It's shameful, really.

Instead, I look at nearly every wedding as a week long commitment.
Let's run this through together.

Thursday:
Depart from LAX to ________, meet with the Bride and
Groom and walk in shooting their expressions and our first meeting...

Friday Morning
: I usually meet up with the Bride and her girls to
shoot them getting their nails done, or I stop in to help the Groom
find a new sport coat at the last minute for the rehearsal....

Then maybe we'll run back to his home to work on vows and toasts with the Best Man...

Of course, then it's off to the rehearsal....
(Which allows me to figure out EXACTLY where I'll be during the ceremony to
get the best pictures possible without getting in the way or being a distraction...
Plus, I get to pre-determine all the light and settings I'll use the next day).

From there it's off to dinner... And perhaps a few informal portraits to commemorate the evening :-)

Saturday Morning
, I arrive early at the Bride's home, or the
hair salon to capture her jitters and grins...

From there, it's a trip wherever they're getting ready...My goal?
To capture the tiniest details, moments and emotions.

Maybe even the Bride reminding her Father that he'll always be her Daddy...

(That's me in the foreground :-)

Why do I do all of these things?

Just so I truly KNOW the people's emotions better than what I could learn in an hour or two... Because seeing emotions happen and catching them too late isn't an option for me... I have to
see it as it begins, and recognize what will probably happen next :-)

Moments Like These:

And These...

Of course after that comes my favorite thing of all....
Private Portrait time :-)

Then it's off to the reception and all of the festivities there!

But, this page has gone on long enough... Hopefully the point behind it has made sense to you...
I firmly believe that it's impossible for a photographer to jump in without knowing you, your story, and at least a bit of who you are and still get amazing photographs that contain as much emotion
as possible.

The way I see it... This is YOUR day, and you deserve to have it captured in the best way possible!

I do my best to build relationships with my couples before, during, and after their wedding. In my opinion it's those relationships that make my photos truly WORK, and I wouldn't trade any of my new friends for an easier shooting schedule. I love each of you!
